Dr. Elyse always wanted to be a veterinarian, (or, as she used to say as a toddler, a “vet-TWIN-arian") taking inspiration from the multitude of furry friends she grew up with and from her mother’s veterinary career. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Guelph, where she loved giving campus tours and working with students staying in residence. Her love of Guelph’s campus meant that she was happy to enjoy an extra 4 years there completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Ontario Veterinary College! She has a passion for serving pets and their people, taking particular interest in feline medicine, ophthalmology, client education, compassionate end-of-life care, and helping to create fear-free veterinary visits for patients.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Elyse watching movies, petting cats, going to trivia events, playing hockey or piano, or enjoying time outdoors up in cottage country.
