Carley Lead Registered Veterinary Technician

Carley grew up in Burlington, where she started working with animals at the age of 13. In 2011, Carley joined the Headon Forest Animal Hospital team and realized her passion in animal medicine. Due to this new found passion, Carley decided to study Animal Health Technology at Thompson Rivers University. After graduating at the top of her class, Carley became a Registered Veterinary Technician.

At Headon Forest, Carley loves educating clients on how to help their pets live long healthy lives, as well as caring for the sick patients in hospital. Nothing is better than seeing them improve and go home healthy! Carley’s passions in Veterinary Medicine include senior pet care, palliative and hospice care, Fear Free Medicine, and Cat-Friendly Medicine.

Outside of work, Carley loves all things art especially painting pets in watercolour. She also loves to spend her time with her fiancé, their Mastiff mix (Rogan) and her two senior Sphynx cats (Casanova and Pandora).
